Landscape design, consultation and community education
In my mind, I’m forever creating spatial stories of history, of personal, cultural, and environmental landscapes. Imagining what preceded a moment in time and what will come to be. Who will stop to look closely? Will they feel safe and nurtured in the wild; adventurous, and curious in tidy botanic spaces. It all begins with an idea and then off we go. These gardens are filled with plants indigenous to Melbourne’s Western Plains. Their purpose is to provoke curiosity, delight and educate visitors on the beauty of wildlife friendly gardens. I’ve included my proposal for the habitat beds at the Williamstown Botanic Gardens. Thank you Rosalee Kennedy and Hannah Camilleri at Hobsons Bay City Council for embracing my idea and for the opportunity to work with you on this project. And Eliasha Muldowney, Curator at the Gardens and her team for planting, maintaining, and developing these beautiful ever evolving landscapes.
